@Val: I agree that it is not a big change, but any incremental improvement in mpg over a large number of cars is a very big benefit. If we can make small improvements they add up to large improvements.

Great concept, basically he removed the clutch and invented automatic transmission with the efficiency of the manual. It’s not that environmentally friendly but it is cost saving.
