The only issue with an electric car is that the energy still has to come from somewhere. So, where does it come from? A power plant. And the power plant burns coal to create power. so, it is just as bad as using a car.
A couple of things. Firstly you are talking about the USA, which gets 70% of it’s power from Coal. This will change over time. Most other countries have far more aggressive renewable power targets. For example, New Zealand has 70% renewable and it is targeting 90%.
The fact that an electric car uses power does not mitigate the need to reduce the car’s contribution to CO2 emissions. Both are related, but not dependent.
Very beautiful and stunning graphics. If we had a lot of electric cars, then there would be less gas emissions that cause air pollution.The video is good for children. Education begins when one is young. If you learn to be green when you’re in elementary school is to become a kinder land for adults.

Ya electric cars a super idea!.. .We can use electricity to power our cars and just plug them in and charge them using electricity from the COAL BURNING PLANTS… That will be such a great adjustment to making green… Sorry to ruin such a song and for being bursting any bubbles, but nothing is that spectacular about a less efficient car that doesn’t go as fast.. just saying… Neat videos though
As I stated with a previous commentor, that is a US centric statement. Most other western countries have aggressive renewable energy plans. For example in New Zealand electricity comes from 70% renewables and is committed to go to 90% wind, solar, hydro and geothermal.
Besides your argument is misleading, digging oil out of the ground then shipping it half way around the world then running it through a cracking process, then trucking it hundreds of miles consumes far more energy and creates pollution. Your argument doesn’t pass the sniff test.

In our place the government also aims for a clean methods like this electric car but there are problem here is still how to stabilize the source of a clean electricity that will feed this cars to run. LOL
