Air New Zealand has launched the next big thing in social networking, so forget twitter or facebook (or even myspace), the latest thing in social networking is Matchmaking flights.
How it works is that you sign up on the Air New Zealand matchmaking site, book the first flight (Oct 13th) and create your profile (they should have used facebook profiles).
You then get access to the lounge to pre-meet potential couplings, the ability to be seated together, and a grand ball singles meet when you arrive in Auckland from Los Angeles. The idea is to bring single kiwis and North Americans together (and obviously flog tickets).

You cannot be serious!
I cannot believe that anyone would use such a service. In my opinion, air travelers care about two things: price and schedule, not getting hooked up. Deserves a good laugh though!
