FutureBrand has release their annual Country Brand Index, and once again New Zealand scores big including the most desirable place to visit in the world.
CBI, now in its fourth year, is a comprehensive study of approximately 2,700 international business and leisure travelers from nine countries conducted by FutureBrand, a leading global brand consultancy, in conjunction with public relations firm Weber Shandwick’s Global Travel & Lifestyle Practice. This year’s index includes rankings and trends as well as travel motivations, challenges and opportunities within the worlds of travel, tourism and country branding.
New Zealand also ranked number one in Authenticity, Natural Beauty and Friendly Locals . New Zealand ranked very highly in the key travel items including safety, most likely to extend a business trip and rest and relaxation.
Of the 30 individual rankings NZ ranked in the top 10 for 12 of them (ranking):

I’m not really surprised to see it up at the top of the list. Its a far away destination for most people and a very beautiful country to visit.
I spoent 3 months in New Zealand a couple of years ago and wish I could have spent longer.
It is a beautiful place, great people and friendly culture.
Can thoroughly recommend swimming with seals in Kaikoura!

I am lucky enough to live in the south island NZ and am married to a Thai lady so travel there often so really do get the best of both worlds.
I love both countries.

I like the list you have up there, but I must say 2 things suprised me, 1 was to see Maldives in the list and 2 to see New Zealand up there at #1, but after thinking about it for a bit, anyone that has been there and have toured the islands can tell you how beautiful the country really is.

Took me long to all the remarks, but I really enjoyed the article. It proved to be very usable to me and I am sure to all the commenters here! It�s always good when you can not only be educated, but also involved! I�m sure you had fun saving this article.
I have been dying to be back at New Zealand. The next time I would be there is when I set my honeymoon on the said spot where me and my girl once shared a beautiful camp. I got so excited since she does not have a clue as to where our next destination is. I definitely go for New Zealand spots for the best travel.
