Jazz Duo Save Big Cats

Jazz Musicians Nathan Haines, and Hollie Smith spent the day today at the Auckland Zoo raising awareness and funds to support the Cheetah.

Funds will help support Cheetah Outreach in South Africa, which is working to save Africas most endangered big cat from extinction. Funds will support the breeding, rearing and placing onto farms of Anatolian shepherd guard dogs. These dogs safely protect livestock, while warding off the likes of cheetahs and carcals. In areas where they are being used, they are so effective that farmers are not now killing cheetahs.
