Flight of The Conchords – Too Many Dickheads on The Dance Floor

Submitted by on February 22, 2009 702 Comments

This past weeks episode of Flight of Conchords lays into Aussies in a particular pointed barrage. Jermine meets and beds Keitha who turns out to be (gasp….) Australian. In true convict fashion, she duct-tape him to the door and steals all their belongings.

For those of you who don’t understand the Australian thing, a long time ago the English packed ships up full of people to emigrate to the new world, aka Australia and New Zealand. All those who were unsavory (ie the criminal class) were shipped to Botany Bay out of Sydney. The hard working farmer types got to go to New Zealand save in the knowledge that their country would be clean, green and wholesome. Fastforward to today and the Aussies have this complex and spend inordinate amount of time wondering why they keep getting beaten at Rugby Union, Rugby League, Cricket, Yacht raciing by a country 1/5 the size of them.

Here Jermaine reflects on past girlfriends.
