World Cup Haka Mania (Video)

Haka Mania has broken out all over New Zealand with the arrival of the World Cup Rugby 2011. From the stunning performance at the World Cup Opening Ceremony to Maori TV promoting its full live coverage of the matches, the Haka has become the dance of choice for the next 2 months.

Excitement peaked as thousands gathered in the viaduct to watch the arrival of 20 Waka. We talk to the performers about the lead up and significance of the Maori welcome.

A haka flash mob took place at the bottom of Queens St today ahead of tonight’s Rugby World Cup opener.
