Agreed that the novel was great. Peter did an awesome job but I wouldn't say he killed it. It was very hard plot to shape but he did a great job nonetheless! .-= Lovely Bones´s last blog ..Criticism to Lovely Bones =-.

Ya, Jackson captures the grim essence of the novel even while compressing much of its character development and plot detail. He rounds out a fairly amazing decade as a film-maker by anyone’s standards with this sad, dreamy, hopeful film that defies easy genre classification or even summary.
