Angry Zune users threaten to return their Zune Players on Zune Insider.
One reader ripped the company for not telling customers early on that the update was pushed back. “I just don’t get why no one let us know before because the Zune team blatantly must have known before today that they weren’t gonna make the supposed deadline,” he said. Another reader placed the blame on the Zune team, even going as far as questioning their dedication. “Is the ZUNE team actually taking their product seriously? If they did, there would be no delay. Xbox team might have to take this over and GET THE JOB DONE!” Finally, there were a few pro-iPod comments—just as you would expect from a good ol’ Zune trashing. “When I got off work this afternoon I boxed everything up, including the a/v kit, premium headphones, and Zune and headed over to Circuit City where I returned everything and purchased an iPod video.” - ArsTechnica
Hmmm…, world’s largest software (only) company, they know what the work around is, they know where the bug is, and they can’t release a patch to fix for over two months……
